An independent research company analyzing the criminal use of artificial intelligence.

Unio Analytics is established with the goal of providing a comprehensive and independent record of crime committed using Artificial Intelligence (AI), focusing on the outcomes of enforcement and the sources of all reported correspondence.

All incidents are defined and categorized to study patterns and trends in the criminal use of AI. By evaluating the threats and strategies used across various AI outputs, the work of Unio Analytics helps shape AI governance and guide companies building AI products better understand safety evaluations and mitigation strategies.

Who

Jason Ahn is a founder of Unio Analytics. He holds a background in Criminology and Computer Science specializing in cybersecurity, providing him a unique perspective that combines technical expertise with an understanding of criminal behaviour. He has worked in the public sector, private sector and academia, which includes PwC Toronto, Canadian intelligence agency, law enforcement, tax services and SFU research lab.
